JUDGE JENNIFER BENNETT

Judge Bennett is Presiding Judge of the 265th Judicial District Court. First elected in 2014, she is seeking her fourth term. She has presided over thousands of cases and more than a hundred trials.

Judge Bennett runs the Dual Diagnosis Aftercare Court, helping people with addiction and mental health diagnosis. She has been honored with several awards for this work, including The Mental Health America of Greater Dallas Special Recognition Award.

Before her election to the bench, Judge Bennett was an Assistant District Attorney for 15 years in Dallas and Harris counties. She served as a supervising attorney, trained prosecutors and police agencies, and handled more than 150 jury trials.
